CORA HEBERT Paisiblement, le 24 janvier 2007, entourée de sa famille, Cora, âgée de 86 ans, est décédée au Repos Jolys à Saint-Pierre-Jolys. Cora est née le 29 novembre 1920 à Carey, Manitoba. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre frères: Léo, Bernard (Marie-Ange), Benoît, Gilbert et deux soeurs: Lorraine Bérard (de feu Gérard) et Cécile Roy. Elle était la tante bien-aimée de plusieurs neveux et nièces. Cora était la fille aînée de feu Henri Hébert et Odila Lacroix. Elle fut prédécédée par son frère Paul et sa soeur Raymonde. Cora a pris part aux concours ménagers et a mérité de nombreux prix aux foires municipales. Elle siégea comme directrice de la société d'Agriculture de Saint-Pierre-Jolys. Douée d'un talent ménager, elle aimait accueillir sa famille en différents occasions. Elle était aussi bonne couturière, jardinière et les conserves la connaissaient bien. Elle aimait beaucoup voyager. La célébration pour la vie de Cora aura lieu le lundi 29 janvier 2007 à 14 h en l'église catholique de Saint-Pierre-Jolys. L'inhumation des cendres aura lieu au cimetière de Saint-Pierre à une date ultérieure. La famille tient à remercier le personnel du Repos Jolys pour les excellents soins donnés à Cora pendant la dernière année. CORA HEBERT Peacefully, with her family at her side, Cora Hébert passed away on January 24, 2007 at the Repos Jolys in St. Pierre-Jolys at the age of 86 years. Cora was born on November 29, 1920 in Carey, MB. She leaves to mourn her passing, four brothers, Léo, Bernard (Marie-Ange), Benoît, Gilbert and two sisters, Lorraine Bérard (late Gérard) and Cécile Roy. She leaves behind many cherished nephews and nieces. Cora was the eldest daughter of the late Henri Hébert and Odila Lacroix. She was also predeceased by her brother Paul and sister Raymonde. She enjoyed presenting her culinary pieces at country fairs, where she earned many prizes. She enjoyed receiving the family on special occasions. Her talents as seamstress and gardening were well known. Therefore, canning was her forte. Cora enjoyed travelling to places like Hawaii, the Caribbean Islands and Europe. The celebration of Cora's life will be on Monday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Jolys Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the funeral. Interment of the remains will take place at a later date at the St. Pierre Cemetery. The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff of Repos Jolys for the good care given to Cora in the last year.
