EDNA PILLING September 10, 1910 - January 28, 2007 Peacefully, on January 28, 2007, Edna passed away at Tuxedo Villa at the age of 96. Edna was predeceased by her husband Edward Ted in 1984. Her parents and one brother and five sisters also predeceased her. She will be remembered by her daughters, Elaine (Don) Leppard, and Linda (Free) Larter; grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Tim, Jarod; great-grandchildren, Michael, and Brianna. Edna will also be missed by her siblings, Steve Paseluiko and Ruth Aker. She will also be missed by many extended family and friends. Edna was born and raised in Ladywood, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg as a young adult. She met Edward, they were married in 1939. Edna will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was hard working and determined and enjoyed shopping, sewing and cooking for her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their care and compassion shown to our mom over the past three years. A funeral service will be held on February 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception to follow. Rev. S.C. Sharman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna's name may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation 200 - 6 Donald Street, R3L 0K6.
