He had been a resident of the Arborg Personal Care Home for the last 2 years and he just loved the hugs and attention he got from the staff. Thank you girls! Bruce was born on December 21, 1949 at the family home in Arborg. He was a special person who lived at home most of his life where he received care and affection that was second to none. Bruce in turn loved to shower family members with kisses and hugs. He especially had a soft spot for the girls. Two people who were very important to Bruce during his youth were his teacher Winnie Jonasson and a caregiver Helga Jonasson. Bruce loved loud pop music, his photograph albums, books about space and airplanes, and going for rides in the truck. This is not to forget his favorite soap Coronation Street , shared with Mom. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church. Donations in Bruce's memory may be made to, Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Arborg MacKenzie funeral Home in care of arrangements.
