Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRUCE PIPPY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce David Pippy, beloved husband of the love of his life Alma (nee Walberg) on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Victoria Hospital. He will be sorely missed by his wife and their son Gordon. He is also survived by his sister Norma and her husband Don Moore of Escondido, California, his sister Joan and her husband Dr. William Graham of Vancouver; sister-in-law Shirley Pippy of Winnipeg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gordon and Ruth Walburn of Saskatoon and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Mina in 1958, Archie in 1968 and dearly loved brother Reverend Murray Pippy in 2001. Bruce was born August 31, 1933. He was a teacher and a security guard, but most of all, music was his love. He was organist of Chalmers United Church in St. James for 14 years and the St. James Anglican Church for over 35 years. Bruce was also a member of the Royal Astronomical Society and had his Life Masters in the American Contract Bridge League. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Blouw and his wife Penny and the staff of the 4th floor, Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care of Bruce. Also chaplains Ron Long and Lynn Granke, as well as Reverend Rick Sauer and Reverend Canon Fletcher Stewart. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 2 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Cambridge St., with Reverend Rick Sauer and Reverend Canon Fletcher Stewart officiating. Viewing one half hour prior to the service.
