DONALD ROY CREASER After a courageous battle with cancer, Don passed away on January 28, 2007, at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 76. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Rachel; sons, Craig (Charlene), Ron (Marilyne) Derrett, George (Pearl) Derrett; grandchildren, Zach and Ramah (Dallas); siblings, Olive, Shirley (Herb), Arlene (George), Bob (Deanna), Pam (Dave); many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Joyce, and his sister Eleanor. In his early years Don worked in iron and gold mines. Later he worked construction, eventually working for Manitoba Highways with heavy equipment until his retirement. Don had a phenomenal sense of humour and was always part of the practical jokes. He enjoyed many hobbies including D R Rockshop (Rock Hounding), traveling, hockey, and his most recent passion, his computer. Don made friends everywhere he went and knew all ice cream stops in Manitoba. We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses on the 4th floor at the Victoria Hospital for all of their kind and compassionate care that they gave Don. A service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice in Don's memory.
