PETER DEDA September 28, 1917 - January 28, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Deda on Saturday, January 28, 2007. Peter is survived and will be missed by his wife of over 61 years, Bertha Deda (nee Stucky); his sons and daughters-in-law, Roman (Darlene) and Ralph (Cheryl); and his grandchildren Cameron and Jennifer (Gerald). He is also survived by his brother Paul (Irene) and their family. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Tekla and Harry. Peter will be remembered as a hard-working and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked at Anthes (Ancast) from 1940 until his 65th birthday, interrupted by a period of service with the Armed Forces during the Second World War. Thank you to all of the staff at Extendicare Oakview Place who provided exceptional care to Peter over the past year. Memorial service will take place on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East and Navin Road, with Fr. Fred Olds officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society (in Winnipeg, call 982-2041).
