Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN (LIL) ETHEL GREENE January 29, 1912 - January 30, 2007 It is with sadness, that the family of Lil Greene (95 years), announce her passing on January 30, 2007, at the Boundary Trails Health Centre. Lil was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; sisters, Lena (Walter) Leatherdale, Ann (Duff) Thomson, and Mina (Hub) Orchard; brothers, Tom (Edith) Gilligan and Jack Gilligan; brother-in-law, Don Muir; and nephew, Dennis Westrum. She is survived by her sister, Georgie Muir; sister-in-law, Marvie Gilligan; nephews, Doug (Louise) Leatherdale, Jim (Maureen) Orchard, Lyle Thomson, Grant (Judy) Orchard, Jack (Marilyn) Thomson, Bob (Verlie) Gilligan, and Jim (Belva) Wilson; nieces, Sharon (Bob) Storey, Dianne (Larry) Middleton, Carol (Dennis) Westrum, and Jean Bourrier. Lil will also be lovingly remembered by numerous great nieces and nephews. Lil went through the Manitou Normal School in 1932 to become a teacher. She taught school at a number of locations near Miami and then in later years she worked at the Miami Municipal Office. She shared a great life with her husband Clarence until his death in 1973. Family was foremost in Lil's life. She was a kind, gentle lady who made many long-lasting friendships. She will be missed by all. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. In accordance with Lil's wishes, a private family funeral service will take place from Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman, MB. Interment will follow at the Miami Cemetery. Following the interment there will be a public reception held at the Miami United Church on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. Doyle's Funeral Chapel, in care of arrangements.
