SEAN WILLIAM NICOL Suddenly on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, beloved son of Larry and Arlene, and younger brother to Duane (Erin), passed away at the age of 25. Sean was born and lived his short life in Selkirk where he held many jobs. His first job was delivering for the Winnipeg Free Press from the age of nine to 16, and always made sure that his customers got their papers to read with their morning coffee. Then he went on to McDonald's where he was hired as a grill person but moved his way up to opening manager. He went back to school and received his Health Care Aide Certificate. He has worked at ARC Industries for the past three years, a job that he loved, and just recently started work at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre on a casual basis. Sean had a fun-loving, easy going personality. He always had a smile or joke for you. His family and friends used these words to describe Sean: big-hearted, reliable, always there for you, like to tease, joke around, heart of gold, loveable and huggable. He had a special place in his heart for all animals especially his dogs, Duke and Killer. Sean was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Anne Sabeski, Ernie Nicol and great-grandmother Carrie Jarva. He leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother, Larry and Arlene; his older brother and best friend Duane (Erin); Amma Lil Nicol, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, clients and many, many good friends. He loved and cared for you all. Viewing will be held on Thursday (tonight) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m., also in Gilbart Funeral Chapel with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. We would like to thank Dr. Manca, the nurses and Wayne for taking care of Sean, your caring words and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or Association of Community Living in care of ARC Industries. Sean, we would give anything for five more minutes with you and one more of your famous bearhugs. We love you and will miss you deeply, until we meet again. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
