AGNES ZILKIE (nee WOODS) It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear mother on January 29, 2007. Agnes will be sadly missed by her sons, Earl (Enna), Dennis (Joyce), Don (Doreen), Larry (Louis) and daughter-in-law Nora; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert Zilkie in 1973; her son Orville; grandsons, Dean and Kenny; sisters, Dora, Lily, Annie and brothers, Arthur, Thomas and Henry. Agnes was born November 20, 1910 in Ridgeville, MB. She married Albert, also of Ridgeville, in 1931 and raised five sons. She lived on the farm until 1973, then moved to Emerson, MB for ten years. In 1983 Agnes moved to Winnipeg and lived on Pembina Highway for 16 years, then due to illness she moved to the Fort Garry Care Centre and then to Park Manor Personal Care Home. Agnes was active in the 4H Club and the Women's Auxilliary. She also loved knitting, visiting with family and playing cards. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My grandmother , a wonderful and practical woman, whose loving ways and common sense attitudes are with me to this day. Take it from me if your grandma is as great a cook as she was learn from her, my biggest regret is not doing so. Still miss you Grandma, never take off your wedding ring, think of you always when I see it. Donna-Mae - Posted by: Donna Larsen (granddaughter) on: Jan 02, 2016
