ROSA RODRIGUES Peacefully on February 1, 2007, Rosa passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 96. Rosa is survived by her daughter Narcisa (Arnaldo); son Antonio (Gloria); grandchildren, Rodger, Lucy (Michael), Margaret (Kelly) and Mario; great-grandchildren, Celeste, Natalia, Riel, Alexandra and Mackenzie; brother José; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel. Rosa was born on June 8, 1910 in Lindoso, Portugal and came to Canada in 1984. She loved to garden and spend time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the people who came to visit Rosa in the hospital and gave support to the family during this difficult time. Thanks also to the staff in Emergency and ward D4 at the Health Sciences Centre. Prayers will be said on Friday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. as celebrant. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosa's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
