JEAN NELLIE SLACK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Nellie Slack on January 23, 2007. She had just had a visit from her friends and family, and her husband Dennis was with her till the end. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband Dennis; her son Jason, and her daughter-in-law Patty; as well as other family members both here in Canada and those that she left behind in England when she came to Canada. Jean was born in Brighton, England and immigrated to Canada with Dennis in 1972. Jean was predeceased by her parents in her early teens and grew up without the guidance of parents. However this did not stop her from becoming a loving and wonderful Mother and Wife. Jean loved traveling and gave her time to do charity work prior to her becoming too ill to continue. At Jean's request please make donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3. A memorial service was held on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. for close friends and family.
