LENA ANDRUSHKO (nee RUNKE) February 24, 1914 January 29, 2007 Peacefully following a brief illness, Lena Andrushko passed away at Whispering Pines Personal Care Home, Vita, January 29, 2007 at the age of 92. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Paul Andrushko; children, Alvin (Marie) Runke, John (Aileen) Runke, David (Dale) Runke; 18 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; one sister Betty Penhall and one brother Donald Nedohin. Stepchildren, Nick (Gertie) Andrushko, Joe (Judy) Andrushko, Bernice (Gordon) Larratt, Paul Andrushko, Alex (Betty) Andrushko; 14 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren. Lena was predeceased by her first husband Albert Runke, one grandson Trevor Runke; parents John and Mary Nedohin; four brothers and six sisters. Viewing will be held Sunday, February 4, 2007, at Steinbach Funeral Home 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 5, 2007, at Steinbach Funeral Home 11:00 a.m., with Pastor John Tkachuk officiating. Interment will take place in the Overstoneville Independent Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lena may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to a charity of one's choice.
