JEAN SKENE Peacefully following a lengthy illness, Jean Skene passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge on January 27, 2007 at the age of 89 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne (Connie) of White Rock, BC and Barry (Elsie) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Cameron (Geeta) of Montreal and Christopher of Whistler, BC; great-grandchildren, Delphine and Asha (Cameron) and several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1995. Jean was a strong-willed, compassionate lady. She helped and cared for the people that were less fortunate. In her younger years, Jean took great satisfaction in cooking fantastic feasts for family and friends. Her orange salad' was legendary. Jean's getaway was her garden. The garden was a place of solitude and immense pleasure to her. Forever Remembered Interment service will follow at a later date in Dominion City Cemetery. The family thanks the staff and volunteers at Fred Douglas Lodge for their care and kindness shown to Mom throughout the years.
