CHRISTINE JAMIESON Christine fought the good fight with her family at her side and has now left us to be reunited with her beloved husband, Jack. Christine passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Christine's memory will be lovingly cherished by her children, John Jamieson of London, England, Susan Gusthart (Garth) of Saskatoon and Scott Jamieson (Norma) of Perdue; grandchildren, Jupiter Jamieson, Seth and Tori Gusthart and Sean, Courtney and Riley Jamieson. Born in Grimsby, England on September 7, 1924, she remained there until she married Jack on June 30, 1945 and then came to Canada as a war bride. Together they created, nurtured and shared the memories of 60 years of companionship and love. She worked many different jobs, but the most memorable was her time as secretary for the Brandon University Students Union. It was there that many friendships were begun that have endured all of time and continue to glow brightly with each passing day. Christine was a wonderful mother, a time tested friend and a mentor to many who were blessed to have encountered her during her walk down life's many paths. She truly enjoyed her trips to Weslaco, Texas and took mischievous joy in telling people in Winnipeg how hot the weather was in December and January. Mom leaves a legacy of warmth and love with her special daughter Heather Barbour who was unselfish in providing support, friendship and compassion. A small service for Christine will be held at a later date in May. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES - Saskatoon (978-5200). God Saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her and whispered Come to Me With tear-filled eyes we watched her Suffer and fade away. Although we loved her deeply, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hard-working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.
