LOUIS HOOPER 1926 - 2007 Louis Hooper, a resident of the extended care unit of St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox, BC, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2007 in his 81st year. Predeceased by his wife Rose in 1997, he is survived by his sons, Jack (Faye) of Winnipeg, Fred (Janice) of Qualicum Beach and Dave (Marion) of Comox; grandchildren, Jacelyn, Andrea, Kristen, Stacey, Jamie, Christopher, Jake and Caitlin; great-grandchildren, Alandra and Kalab; his brothers and sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Louis will be remembered for his wonderful singing voice. He shared his love of music whenever he could and performed for many years, entertaining troops during the war, at seniors' homes, hospitals, children's organizations, and telethons. A service of remembrance in celebration of Louis's life will take place on Tuesday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, BC. For those who wish, donations in his memory to the Salvation Army, 1580 Fitzgerald Avenue, Courtenay, BC V9N 2S2 would be appreciated.
