STEVE KOWALCHUK It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Steve Kowalchuk on Friday, February 2, 2007. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Mary; his son Harold (Linda); his daughter Valerie (Rick); his grandson David; his brother Nick (Vicky); his sisters, Anne (Merle), Helen (Don), Janet (Leonard) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Michael; mother Michalena; his sister Nell and a brother and sister at infancy. In the past, Steve was an active member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus (Father Filipow Council). He was a kind, compassionate and caring gentleman who will be missed by everyone who knew him. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bannerman and Arlington. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations in Steve's memory may be made to the St. Nicholas Catholic Church elevator fund. Knysh Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
