HAZEL MACMARTIN Peacefully on February 2, 2007, Hazel MacMartin passed away at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 95 years. Hazel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Carolyn (Clint Castle) and grandson Adam; her son Brock (Louise) and grandson David (Sarah); granddaughter Michelle (Ryan); her son Michael (Charlaine); and grandson Ryan (Lauren) of Edmonton, AB; her daughter-in-law Joyce MacMartin and children, Jocelyn (Thomas Beveridge) great- grandchildren, Bailey, Stephanie, and Patrick of Dallas, TX, Cameron (Michelle), Cynthia (Peter Klobuchar) and great-grandchildren, Peter and Cecila of Chicago. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack in 1966; her eldest son Bryan in 2003; and her sister Bernice. Hazel was born on October 26, 1911, raised and educated in Winnipeg. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her family was everything to her. Mom and dad met in 1926 and were married on March 24, 1932. She loved sports as a young woman and continued to be an avid follower of baseball and hockey in her senior years. Hazel lived her last 20 years at Lions Place and the last 18 months at Vista Park Lodge. We wish to thank the staff and nurses at Vista Park Lodge and Victoria General Hospital for their kind and loving care. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
