Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUMI NAMBA (MITANI) 1920 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sumi Namba on February 1, 2007 at the age of 86 years at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris. She is survived by her husband Minoru. Also her sisters, Tats Okamoto, Amy Eng and brother Rush Mitani (Mitz). Her children, Linda, Joyce (Lorne), Dan (Paulette), Ron (Jody), Betty (Henry), Lila (Bob), Tim (Kelly) and son-in-law Bill. Also numerous grand-children, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter Cindy and brother Tom Mitani. Sumi was born in Haney, BC. She married Min in 1942 and moved to Dominion City where they raised eight children. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. The times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very special to her. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Red River Valley Lodge, Dr. Mannes and the Dominion City Home Care staff. A memorial service will take place on Friday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church in Dominion City. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
