ANITA CARRIERE Peacefully on February 2, 2007, with family by her side Anita Carrière passed away at the St. Pierre Hospital at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Edouard Carrière, son Hervé; her parents, Valerie and Jean-Baptiste Preteau; sisters, Yvette and Lorette, and her brothers, Aubert and Fabien. Memère will be forever cherished by her 12 children, Evelyne and her husband Arthur Morin (Colette, Johanne, Ginette, Paul, Richard), Gisèle and her husband Marcel Rivard (Elaine, Lou-Anne), Juliette and Léo Lecocq (Normand, Nicole, Catherine), Emile and Annette (Martin, Dominique, Vincent, Roch), Maurice and his wife Marguerite (Christine, Claudel), Archie-Achille (Alan, Joey, Mark), Rocky-Reynald (Diane, Mathew), Yvonne and her husband Luc Lambert (Réal, Joel, Patrick), Irène and her husband Gilbert Forest (Lisa, Danielle, Jennifer) Murielle and her husband Marcel Gagnon ( Jacques, Carole), Lynne and Paul (Miguel, Natalie), Luc and his wife Nicole (Sara, José, Mélanie), as well as 34 great-grandchildren. Mom spent many years working as a nurse's aid at the St. Pierre Hospital and succeeded at supporting her big family. Despite growing older as the years passed, Mom remained young at heart until the very end. She had an eagerness to try new things, and above all she loved to reminisce with family and friends. He recollections of people, names and past events were undeniable and often humorous and touching. Mom was everything to her family. We cherish memories of spending time with her at her cabin on her parents' homestead in St. Malo. Memère's favorite past times included playing Bingo, playing cards and chatting. We love you Mom and we will miss you forever. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 2:00 p.m. at the St Malo Roman Catholic Church, St Malo, Manitoba interment will take place in the St Pierre Cemetery, St Pierre, Manitoba. The family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Pierre Hospital for all the care they provided for our mother during her stay. We also thank l'Abbé Chaput and all who assisted with the funeral.
