LINDA BEATRICE FREEMAN (nee PEEBLES) August 25, 1947 - February 2, 2007 Peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, February 2, Linda passed away at the age of 59. Linda was predeceased by her father Radford; mother Edith; sister Brenda; mother-in-law Sylvia; father-in-law Robert; and brother-in-law Bill. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Chuck, soul mate of 33 years, who was a constant pillar of support and encouragement, especially during her difficult times; daughters, Teresa (Kevin), Melody (Jason); son Robert; grandchildren, Kelly Dawn (Justin), Jessica, and Mickayla; sisters, Darall (Earl) and Marilyn; in-laws, Debra (Detlef), Julie (Roland), Karen (Mike), Helen, Roberta (Paul), George (Laurie), Doug (Sherri), and Reg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose grandchildren were one of her greatest joys. She was a kind, caring, thoughtful person who always put other people first. She was able to touch the many lives of close family and friends through her giving and compassionate spirit. Throughout the years, Linda was joined by her closest friends and family for their weekly coffee get together. A big part of Linda's life was being on the Board of Directors and regularly attending the Selkirk Aboriginal Redemption Centre, where she also taught Sunday school. The family sends out a special thank you to Dr. Drobot, his team of doctors, and the nursing staff of E6 at St. Boniface Hospital, for their kindness and support during her stay. Forever loved and missed, until we meet again. Memorial service will take place on Wednesday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. at The Selkirk Aboriginal Redemption Centre Church, 209 Dufferin Ave. in Selkirk, MB. Interment to take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Gilbart Funeral Home Ltd.
