LLOYD ROY ERB 1906 - 2007 Passed away peacefully on February 1, 2007 in his 101st year. Survived by his wife Helen Erb; daughters, Shirley Cole (Basil) of Winnipeg and Marilyn Holub (Ivo) of Montreal; son Robert (Joan) of Stoney Creek, ON; stepdaughter June King, Sterling, ON. Numerous grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Born in Arnaud, MB, he graduated with a degree in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba and ended up as a general contractor involved with many projects across Canada. One of the most notable as the crane operator setting the spans for the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls. Travelled extensively in Europe, USSR, Alaska and Hawaii. After retirement spent many winters in Mexico, Arizona and Texas. He had a good life and will be missed by all who knew him. A special thanks to the caring staff at Scarborough Grace Hospital. If so desired, memorial donations in Lloyd's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at The Giffen-Mack (Scarborough) Funeral Home Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Avenue E, West Hill, (one block west of Kingston Road), 416-281-6800.
