She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1990; her brothers, Jack in 1983 and George, killed in Italy in 1944. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and two sons: Tanis McDonald (Don), Michael Cavers (Jenefer), Dr. Lloyd (Lanny) Cavers (Barb) and Penelope (Penny) Weir (Graham). She was a loving grandma to Kim and Tim, Dean and Heather, Lee and Gardiner, Douglas and Jennifer, Stewart and Leia, Wendy and Warren, Annie, Michael and Duncan, Michael and Teresinha and Adrienne. She was a loving Nana to Carrie and Katelyn, Tanner and Reed, Taylor and Madison, Benny and Abi, Lila and Isabella. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, Jerie and Lila, Donna, Glen and Alice, numerous nieces and nephews and by her wonderfully supportive group of friends including her other kids , Ken and Sharon Cyr and Charlie and Christine Niedermayer. Anne's family moved to Pine Falls in 1926. She finished school there and went on to complete Business College at age 14. At 15 she started working for The Manitoba Paper Company, latterly as secretary to the Mill Manager and the Office Manager of The Manitoba Paper Company and Abitibi. She retired at the age of 65. In her professional life she was an active member of the Business and Professional Women's Association. Anne was an extraordinary person. She had a wonderful empathy for people, giving her an amazing recall of birthdays, anniversaries, family connections and events. Besides being the town historian, she was secretary of the library for many years; on the board of the Golden Leisure Club; an avid gardener and member of the horticultural society, hospital auxiliary, Canadian Legion and the bridge club. She generously supported many charities. She loved to dance and entertain, to swim, to curl, play tennis and in later years, golf. She was the perfect grandmother and great-grandmother, proudly taking an active interest in their lives, always offering unwavering support and encouragement. She was to us all that a mother could be, and we yield to none in admiration of her character, love of her virtues and veneration of her memory. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the Pine Falls United Church. Interment will take place at a later date.
