Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAPTAIN HAROLD A. LESSARD Reg. #955 Tragically, in the line of duty, Captain Harold Lessard lost his life on February 4, 2007. Harold will be sadly missed by his loving wife Lynn; children, Bryan and Christine; brother Craig (Carol); sister Elaine (Dave); brother Harley, all of Lynn's family, extended family and many good friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Mary. Harold was a proud member of the Winnipeg Fire Department for 31 years. He was honoured to be recognized as a Fire Fighter and was happy and willing to serve the citizens of Winnipeg daily. His devotion extended past the duties of Fire Fighter and into his everyday life. Harold was very proud of his family and he created a Backyard Oasis for family and friends. He loved gardening and was generous with his tomatoes. He made many good friends in the Fire Department and always looked forward to spending time with them on and off duty. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service for all the support given at this difficult time. We would also like to thank the Health Sciences Staff in the Emergency Department. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Rd. with Chaplain Mark Young officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations in Harold's memory may be made to the Firefighters Burn Fund, 303 - 83 Garry St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4J9.
