HELEN JANZ (nee HILDEBRANDT) Suddenly on February 4, 2007 Helen Janz, age 68, passed away at the Victoria Hospital. She is survived by her husband Bill; children, Cindy (Steve), Wendy (Gil), Elizabeth (Jason), Brenda and Frank (Andrea); grandchildren, Christy, Angel, Renee, Luc, Adrienne, Leah, Katayun and Pareesa, as well as numerous extended family. Helen, the wife, mother and grandmother, could be defined by nothing and everything. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother and the quintessential grandmother. She was THE Mother Bear to end all Mother Bears. She knew when to swat her cubs (including her grandchildren), and when to hug them. There was no better advocate, advisor or cheerleader than Helen, and of all her roles, the one she would want to be remembered for is her role of Grandmother par excellence , but the one she will be remembered for is her role of mother and wife. While we mourn her death, we celebrate her life and all that she has taught us and will continue to teach as her spirit lives on. The family would like to thank the staff of Victoria Hospital, Emergency and the 4th floor for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 19 St. Mark's Pl., with interment to follow. Viewing one half hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
