MARY SOJA (OTULAK) Peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2007, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre with her family at her side. Mary is survived by her only son Frank, his wife Connie and granddaughters, Leanna and Lori-Ann; sister Pauline Ozimek (Ted) of Winnipeg; brothers, Klemens and Jan Otulak and families in Poland. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Soja in 1969 and sister Stanislawa in 1996. Mary was born on August 15, 1920 in Cewkow Poland. In 1940, during the Second World War, Mary was sent to Germany to work. It was in Solingen, Germany where she had met and married her husband Frank Soja. They immigrated to Canada in 1950 to make Winnipeg their home. Mary was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Church and a devoted Catholic who's deep faith in God guided her throughout life. She was a caring, loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family and grandchildren. She especially loved social times with friends and family, trips to Kenora and Lake of the Woods. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion given to our mother and grandmother at the Health Sciences Centre. Special thank you to Dr. K. Van Ameyde and the staff of the Internal Medicine Department, doctors, nurses and staff of the Orthopedic Ward GD-2, and the Emergency Department of the Health Sciences Centre.
