JOHN SEDOR Our family wishes to announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather, John Sedor, on Friday, February 2, 2007 at home with his children at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Andrew Sedor and his sister Jean Stanton. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children. Three sons, John, Donald, and Darren Sedor, and his two daughters, Kimberley Streng and Susan Sedor. Also nine grandchildren, Jesse, Kaitlin, Andrew, Aissa, John, Sean, Joshua, Kimberley, and Keegan. John was born on a farm in the Mikado, SK area. His love for music started at a very early age. At eight years old, he made his first violin with the aid of the screen door. With his fiddle in hand, he played at every school pageant the one-room school in the Rose Valley district had. Like all young cowboys, he moved West to the Calgary area. Breaking Broncos wasn't all it was cracked up to be so he travelled back to the family farm, then on to Winnipeg in the early 1950s, getting a job at the Selkirk Rolling Mills, then Griffin Steel where he was proud of the fact that he only missed one day in 19 years, which was due to attending the graduation of one of his children. Dad finished his career as a crane operator at CN shops in Transcona. Somehow he managed to play shuffleboard, fix neighbour's TVs, and attend the various dance recitals and sports he involved his children in. A couple of his favourite sayings were All good people come from Saskatchewan and Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise. John will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave., Transcona. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral arrangements in care of: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 Regent Ave. West 224-1525
