OLIVE DOROTHY KADYNIUK November 8, 1916 - February 6, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Olive is lovingly remembered by her children, daughter Muriel; son John (Marge); daughter, Mary-Lou (Ian); daughter, Linda (Bryan); son-in-law Tom; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1993 and her beloved daughter Gloria (Bunny) in 2005. Olive was born, raised and married in Teulon, Manitoba. She grew up full of life, loved to Ukrainian dance, cook and bake. Her children, and everyone who knew her raved about her perogies. She was also a marvel at sewing and crocheting and continued with her crafts until she was 90. Olive and John ran the Teulon Hotel for many years, then later moved to Winnipeg, and worked together in their own hotel. Olive was always very independent and lived for many years on her own. Due to illness, she entered Deer Lodge in March 2006. We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Deer Lodge Centre, 4th floor, for their dedication and care of our mother. Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, God has called you home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Teulon United Church, Rev. Patricia Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Windsor Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or a charity of one's choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
