JOHN PIKE Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Selkirk General Hospital, John Pike, aged 86 years, of Netley, MB. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 56 years, Anne; son David Wayne (Brenda); daughter, Susan Rivers (Bill); grandchildren, Darryl and John Ross; sister Jean (Winston) Queen of Calgary; and special sister-in-law Kay Pike of Netley. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Marianne; brothers, Steve, Marion and Stanley and his sister Henrietta. John was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1938. He lived and farmed in Netley, MB. He cherished his farm and in earlier years enjoyed wildlife, the birds, hunting and fishing, gardening and his fruit trees. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with Rev. Ken Pawluk officiating. Interment will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wakefield Church or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to all the Selkirk homecare workers, doctors and nurses.
