ELLEN BEATRICE COURCHENE April 5, 1943 February 7, 2007 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend, Ellen Courchene, on the seventh day of February, 2007 at the Pine Falls General Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 45 years, Wallace Courchene; children, Marilyn (John), Larry (Sandra), Doreen (Nelson), Elaine (Dennis), Roland (Millie), Mike, Earl, Chris (Judie), as well as sisters, Mary Rose (Bill), Clara, Wilma (Stewart); brothers, Stanley (Myrtle), Alex, and William; her 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Harriet and Andrew Thickfoot; brother Lawrence, and two children, Allan and Sharon. Wake services will be held at the family residence, house 508 North Shore Rd., Fort Alexander. February 8, 2007 with funeral service to be held Monday, February 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from Christ Anglican Church, and will be laid to rest at Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. Special thank-you to all medical staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Seven Oaks General Hospital and a very big heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Shabash and medical staff of the Pine Falls General Hospital for the compassion shown to the family, as well as the Sagkeeng Home Care.
