Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWANDA KOGUT 1919 - 2007 Wanda Kogut died at age 87, January 23, 2007, at Hospice care facilities in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is survived by her niece, Lorraine Vincent and husband, Tom, of Zehner, SK, and her two cousins, Stan and Henry Sabal of Michigan, USA. Born on a farm March 12, 1919, of parents, John and Apolonia Kogut, in St. Martin, MB, she grew up in Winnipeg, MB. When a young adult she moved to Chicago, Illinois, and enjoyed her office jobs in finance. She retired in 1985, living her retirement years in Chicago. During all those years she kept close in touch with her family, travelling many places in the USA, Canada and even to Poland with her sister, Verna (deceased 1995) and Verna's husband Ted (deceased 1994). A funeral Visitation Service was held in Chicago, January 26, 2007, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, hosted by her cousin Stan Sabal. Cremation followed. Funeral Mass with cremains will be celebrated in Winnipeg, MB, Tuesday, February 13 at Our Lady of Victory Memorial Church, 254 Arnold Ave., with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski, celebrant. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery at the foot of her mother's grave.
