ELSIE JEAN BARTH 1924 - 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Jean on Monday, February 5, 2007 at the Central Park Poseidon Care Centre, at the age of 82 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jean's memory are her brother Fred (Pat); nephews; Malcolm (Dina Alvarez) David of Chicago, Illinois, Geoffrey (Julie) of Burlington, Ontario, Andrew (Allison Speal), Mathew, Erin and Jake of Oakville, Ontario. Jean was also loved dearly by Ken and Lorraine Mann and their family; Jennifer and David Violago; Stuart and Lori Mann and children, Kaitie and Casey. Jean was born in Hamilton, Ontario on December 30, 1924 and moved to Winnipeg in 1939. She spent her working career as a life insurance underwriter, first at Great West Life, North American Life, Sovereign Life in Winnipeg. She moved to Toronto in 1965 with Sovereign Life and in 1992 returned to Winnipeg to be with her family. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held on Saturday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m. in the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, 525 Wardlaw Avenue. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made in Jean's memory to the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church or to a charity of ones choice.
