EVELYN LAMB It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Evelyn Lamb on Saturday, February 3, 2007 after her long battle with illness. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen, and leaves to mourn her loving sons, Kerry (Esther) and LeRoy; her grandson Christopher; her sisters, Mary, Margaret (Abe) and Martha; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all loved and cherished her greatly. Aunty Evy will always be remembered for her strong and honest personality as well as her caring and nurturing maternal side. She always had unconditional love and support to give during the good times and hardship, while keeping both feet planted firmly on the ground. Giving was a characteristic that was second nature to her, whether it be her time, her skills, a helping hand or an ear to listen. She was the person everyone would call Mom as we were growing up, since she brought happiness and a sense of ease to all that met her. For these reasons, she will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the staff of Deer Lodge Centre - 6 East - who took care of her for the last few years. Cremation will take place and her ashes will be laid to rest beside her parents at a ceremony to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
