MURIEL ELSIE MILLER (RACKHAM) 1915 - 2007 It is with sorrow and sadness that we announce the loss of our dearly beloved Muriel, wife of Frank of 72 years; mother of Lois Harris of Riverside, CA, Fran Sech (Mike), Jim Miller; grandmother of Cath Roustan (Dennis) of Flagstaff, AZ, Jason Harris of Flagstaff, AZ, Michael Sech, Jamie Sech, Maxine Sech; great-grandmother of Callum Sech (mother Marion). Muriel was born in Barrow-In-Furness, Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. She was predeceased by her parents, Lewis Rackham and Catherine Cook; her sister and best friend Myrtle Skarsten and her brother Lewis Rackham. Muriel joined Sparling United Church at the age of 6 years. She was the longest member of the church choir, 60 years with the U.C.W., a leader for Explorers and C.G.I.T. She volunteered at the Misericordia Health Centre (Therapy in the Pool) Fred Douglas Lodge, Bluebird Lodge and Meals on Wheels. Muriel loved all music, she was an avid reader, knitter, crocheter, baker, swimmer and a sailor. The love of her life was Island 3, West Hawk Lake, which she enjoyed until she was 88 years of age with her family and greatest neighbours ever. Many thanks to all her friends and family for their super support. Many thanks go to Health Sciences Centre, Deer Lodge Health Centre, Misericordia Health Centre, doctors, nurses, Health Care Aides, paramedics and firefighters for their outstanding care and concern for the elderly.
