TERRANCE WINSTON MILLAR WEBSTER 1941 2007 On Friday, February 9, 2007 after a courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy and Diabetes, Terry passed away with his loving wife by his side. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Edgar and Edith Webster and his sister Leslie Millar. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Carol of 32 years; his sister Arlene (Ed) Brown; his nieces, Kathy and Roberta Millar; foster brother Paul (Mary Theresa) Chappie; cousins, Glenn Rieve and Patricia Taylor and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He will also be sadly missed by our two dogs, Coal and Brittany. Terry was born in and spent most of his life Winnipeg. He worked as a mechanic, construction worker and during the last few years of his life, landscaping and snow removal. Terry and Carol met on the May long weekend in 1969 and married in March 1975. Terry was an avid fisherman and loved to fish whenever he could. We had many wonderful camping trips together. Special thanks goes to the people of Grace Bible Church for their prayers and encouragement, Dr. Cummings, the Home Care workers who looked after Terry during his illness (Beth, Tanis, Fred), and the Palliative Care Nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital. You have been a blessing. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Bible Church, 366 Oakwood Avenue. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31) Miss Me, But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul that's free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss Me, But Let Me Go. For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone It's all a part of the Masters plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss Me, But Let Me Go. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Hi Carol - I was sorry to read of Terry's passing. I remember fondly the brief time in my teens that we exchanged photos and letters. It meant a lot to me. I wish I could have known him and had contact with you both throughout my life. May he rest in peace. I hope you are well. Noreen (Guy's daughter) - Posted by: Noreen Millar (Niece) on: Feb 05, 2017

  • I met Terry when we were both 15, at a dance in St. Vital. My name is also Terry, and we dated for a while, then remained friends, albeit at a distance, throughout his life. Though I moved many miles away I'd see him on my rare visits to Winnipeg. I will always remember Terry's words to me of "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" and I must say it was he who had the warmest heart of all! Terry was a good man, a loving person who managed to overcome life's obstacles, and be a great husband and kind friend. We'll miss you, Terry. - Posted by: Theresa (Terry) (Brownrigg)Alexander (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2007
