ELSIE MAY CRAMP May passed away peacefully at the Selkirk General Hospital on Friday, February 9, 2007. May was born on August 6, 1917 in Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred in 1957 and Eliza in 1981 and brothers, Fred (Ted) in 1988 and Cliff in 1990. May had a very difficult childhood, leaving home at 12 years of age. She cared for many people over the years. She deeply loved her dad and helped him manage and operate a lunch restaurant in Winnipeg. May was a very independent, feisty, warm, caring individual who had a joke for everyone she met. She will be missed by all who knew her especially Karen, Teresa and Joan. Special thanks to her homecare attendants, Janice, Cheryl, Yvonne, Sherry, Bonnie, Linda, Audra, Loretta, Rhonda, Alexis, Brooke, Lynn, Sharon, Bernadette, Joy, Lorraine and Karen for brightening each day. Also thanks to Roy Bingham for delivering the paper and maintaining her yard. May was also grateful to Dr. Lindenschmidt and Bev for their care and concern. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J2. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
