Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY KOZAKEWICH Mary Kozakewich passed away on February 13, 2007. Mary was born May 15, 1911 in Yorkton, SK, an only child of Harry and Anna Federko (Benko). After growing up at her grandparents home on the farm near West Bend, SK, she helped with farming, drove a tractor. She had a love for the land and horses. She married Harry (Gabriel) Kozakewich on October 14, 1929. Mary and Harry sold their farm in 1967 and moved to Winnipeg where Harry was employed by Winnipeg Board of Parks and Recreation until his retirement. They were members of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mary became active in all Church activities, The Woman's League, Altar Society and Seniors Club. Mary enjoyed traveling with family and visiting out-of-province children and grandchildren in Vancouver, BC, Vancouver Island, Niagara Falls, Windsor, Southern California and Las Vegas. Mary leaves to cherish her memory children, John (Florence), Susan Talaga, Elizabeth (Ted) Klym, Faye (Gerry) Holt, Dennis (Sylvia), all of Winnipeg, Pauline Douglas of Grand Forks, ND, Natalie (Derek) Johns of Port Coquitlam, BC, Gail (Terry) Roberts of Regina, SK, 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Harry; sons-in-law, Ed Talaga, Leslie Ingles, Bruce Douglas and great-granddaughter, Olivia. Our sincere thanks to the staff of Seven Oaks Geriatrics Unit for their compassionate care. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy on February 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church 250 Jefferson Ave. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery.
