REDIPTO TUGADE

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREDIPTO TUGADE Redipto Tugade, born June 19, 1933 passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, February 12, 2007. He was predeceased by his three sisters (Philippines), daughter Terlie Cuevas; daughter-in-law Gemma Tugade and brother Augustin Tugade. His loving wife, Rosalina, with whom he shared his life for 54 years, survives him. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Rosie Mukai and son-in-law Craig Mukai with whom he resided since 2002; son Wilsie Tugade and daughter-in-law Lorna Tugade with whom he resided with until 2002, and daughter Jerilyn Tugade (Kevin). His memory will live on within his grandchildren, Richard Cuevas, Richelle Athanasiou (Jim), Roxanne Cuevas, Cathy Mukai (Karim), Michael Mukai, Sherry Anne Tugade, Jeremy Tugade, Matthew Tugade, Taya Delorme and Kiyra Delorme, and great-grandchildren, Breanna dela Cruz, Brynnen Cuevas, Xierra Cansino and Tamia Khan. Redipto also leaves behind family across Canada and the Philippines including his eldest brother, Esminio. Born in Aliminos, Philippines Redipto worked hard to provide for his family working for the Aliminos Police force for three years between working the fields. He moved on to work for National Waterworks and Sewage Systems Authority in Manila until 1979 when Redipto and Rosalina, with Wilsie, moved to Canada to join Terlie and Rosie and their families and shortly thereafter welcomed the final addition to their family, Jerilyn. Redipto spent his final years enjoying the smiles and laughter of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be fondly remembered for his love of family. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff on the 4th floor at Victoria Hospital for caring for him in his final months, as well as the home care workers who tended to him in his final hours. Lamay will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 between 6:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home (1291 McGillivary Blvd). Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church (818 Arlington) on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, with interment at Brookside Cemetery to follow.
