SYDNEY STUART ONCHULENKO January 27, 1950 - February 11, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sydney Stewart Onchulenko. Sydney was predeceased by his mother Sonia and father Fred Onchulenko. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Elsie and daughter Pamela. Sydney was born in Russell, MB on January 27, 1950. He attended school in Dauphin, MB and later pursued a career in the Jewellery business. He purchased Altona Jewelers in Altona, MB and operated the business until the time of his passing. While operating his business, Sydney built strong customer relationships with each and everyone, being a friend to all. Sydney enjoyed spending his leisure time with his family on their summer vacation at Clear Lake. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing with his buddies. Sydney will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2:00 p.m. at the E.M.M. Church, 158 2nd St. N.E. in Altona, MB, followed by prayers Monday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel in Dauphin, MB. Funeral service will take place at St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Dauphin on Tuesday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
