MAYBELLE HOWES (nee CHARLES) Maybelle passed away peacefully at the Tuxedo Villa on February 14, 2007, at the age of 85. She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Val), Neil, and Paul (Cathy), grandson Jordy and sister Audrey Ellen; also extended family. Maybelle was predeceased by her first husband Murray, sister Phyllis, and her brother Alvin. Maybelle was an active member of the St. Agnes Guild for over 35 years where she volunteered her time to work the gift shop at the Children's Hospital, the Book Market, and annual tea. She long time member at the REH-FIT Centre where she enjoyed exercising and meeting with friends. Maybelle enjoyed attending her grandson's hockey games, and was an active member at several social clubs where she enjoyed meeting with friends to golf, cross country ski, and other activities. Maybelle was most fond of spending summers with family and friends at the family cottage near Beaconia on Lake Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Movement Centre, 1646 Henderson Hwy. Winnipeg, MB R2G 1N7. The family would like to thank the staff at the Beacon Hill Lodge and Tuxedo Villa.
