CARL ALEXANDER SUTYLA After a full and very active life, Carl died peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Remaining to forever cherish Carl's memory are his deeply beloved wife Jean; children, Ken (Barb), Richard, Charles (Evelyn), Susan (Gary); grandchildren, Kelly (Paul) and baby Kaya, Sherri (Todd), Daniel and Tammy and son Brandon; brother Stanley (Pearl) and sister Anne (Bill), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers and one sister. Born in Ledwyn, Manitoba he enlisted with the P.P.C.L.I. at the age of 16, but did not serve overseas. Carl was a finishing carpenter for over 50 years, a jack of all trades and master of them all. He was a meticulous craftsman, a construction supervisor who accepted nothing less than perfection while on the job. If something wasn't done right, Dad often picked up the hammer and did it himself. He built all four of our family homes. Dad enjoyed reading, dancing, fishing, hunting, watching sports and keeping fit. A fond childhood memory of ours was heading out to see the Captain of the Big Whiteshell and his family for a weekend of camping. He and mom loved nothing more than getting in the RV and hittin' the road. They made numerous trips to California, Arizona and British Columbia, Dad's favorite place of all. Carl's funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Boulevard at the corner of Haney Street with The Rev. Canon Bryan Bjerring officiating. Interment will follow in the Ledwyn Ukrainian Cemetery, Ledwyn, Manitoba. A special thank you to Dad's good friend Koji, for his daily visit, we know he treasured your friendship very much. Dad you were the glue that held our family together. Always the level headed one, your devotion to your family could never be measured. You will be missed always. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9. My Dearest Carl, thank you for loving me all these years, as I have loved you. I never thought you would go before me. I will miss you and love you as long as I live, and remember how we sometimes put on the CD and danced in the living room. Love you always Jean. Carl's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 4665
