LESLIE THOMAS MCDOWELL My dad passed away peacefully the morning of February 8, 2007. Dad was 85 years old. He was born in Le Pas, MB December 23, 1921. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy in 2001. Her smile, her love will always be missed. Dad is survived by his son Bill (Linda) of Maple Ridge; his sister Lorraine Fraser of Vancouver, his brother Lyall (Shirley) of Penticton, his sister-in-law Margaret Florence of Saskatoon; his grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, and Katie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad's final years were made easier by his devoted companion, Patricia Hill of Maple Ridge. Patricia enriched dad's life with her patience and her love. I will always be indebted to her for her kindness. Dad fought a courageous battle for many years against the cancer that progressively weakened him. His quiet strength, his nobility, his love made us all better people.
