THEODORE ROOSEVELT RUDOLPH Suddenly on February 14, 2007 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Theodore (Ted) Rudolph, aged 74 years of Ashern, MB. Ted was born May 4, 1932 in Winnipeg, MB. The family lived in Julius, MB and later moved to Charleswood, where Ted attended school. In 1952 he married Alayne Archer. For a few years Ted was a grain buyer in Saskatchewan, and in the mid 1950s he worked as a transit driver in Winnipeg. In 1957 he became a Conservation Officer, working in such places as Sprague, Steinbach, Gypsumvmille, and his last posting was in Ashern. In 1977 Ted and Alayne moved to the Northwest Territories where he worked as a Resource Management Officer. He retired from the Federal Government in 1984. Ted's love of the outdoors was obvious in his career choice. Ted belonged to the Ashern Elks Lodge #525 and to the Ashern United Church. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Alayne; one son Grant (Darcy) of Stephenfield, MB; two daughters, Janet (Les) Wiszowaty of Edmonton, AB, and Karen (Lyle) Finney of Eddystone, MB; six grandchildren, Kristopher, Tamara, Brett, Jarett, Meghan, and Courtney; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald (Marlyne) of Prince George, BC, and David (Linda) Parpworth of Wales; two sisters, Patricia Griffiths of Winnipeg, MB, and Pat (Brian) Gronland of Wales; also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Olive, and brother-in-law Al Griffiths. A celebration of Ted's life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, at the Ashern Legion Hall. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served. The family wishes to thank the members of the Ashern RCMP Detachment, Paramedics Chris Arns and Blair Schwartz of the Ashern Ambulance, and the Dialysis Staff at Lakeshore General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8, or to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild - for use in the Dialysis Unit, c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721 Ashern, MB R0C 0E0.
