GORDON ROBERT MAGURA It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Gordon on February 12, 2007 at Riverview Health Centre with his loving wife by his side. Remaining to forever cherish Gord's memory is his wife and soul mate Judy; daughters, Kim (Tom), Debbie (Andy); and Papa to his very special grandchildren, Scott, Carter and Mykayla. Also his brothers, Wilf (Bea) and family, Len (Bev) and family, Ken (Connie) and family. Gord was born and raised in Beausejour, MB June 28, 1944 where he received his education. In 1966 Gord went to work at A.E.C.L. in Pinawa, MB where he remained until he retired in 1996. After the births of his children, Gord was very active in all of their activities and he also enjoyed playing baseball, curling and fishing. Gord was always the first one to offer help whenever needed, never one to complain even during the past two years. When asked, he was always 110%. He was our strength and rock. He had a very positive attitude with everyday living and life. Special thanks to Dr. John Leitch, Roger Maris Cancer Centre, Fargo, ND and his staff who never gave up on him. The extra two years you gave us allowed us to have many more treasured memories. Thank you to Riverview Heath Centre, Wing 3E for all their compassionate care. Also Ken and Connie, our Guardian Angels that gave us the much needed support and home we needed. Wilf and Len for all the phone calls and drives to Fargo and back when needed. Thank you CancerCare Manitoba, Dr. P. Bedder and her staff, Evelyn, Lesia, Heather, Gail, Brian and all the support staff we received at home. To our special family, thank you for all your love, the meals, the support and just for being you. I could not have made it through this without you Mom. A memorial service to celebrate Gord's life will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East and Navin Rd., with Fr. Fred Olds presiding. A private family interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made to the Roger Maris Cancer Centre, 820 4th Street N, Fargo, ND 58122 or to a charity of ones choice. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, Come with Me. So when we saw you sleeping, So peacefully free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again. Together forever in our hearts We love you always Dad GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241 Please bring a Tin for the Bin . Help us support Winnipeg Harvest.
