WILLIAM GERYLO On Friday, February 16, 2007 William Gerylo peacefully passed away. William was born on October 19, 1925 in Walkleyburg, Manitoba. He married Lillian Bretchka in 1947 and moved from the farm to Winnipeg. Dad worked at Burn's and then Paulin Chambers Co. Ltd. for 42 years. After retiring in January 1991, he enjoyed many years of retirement with mom playing bingo, going to the casino, traveling and visiting, especially with his grandchildren. Bill and Lil were a fierce pyrogy making team! William is survived by his son Gary (Kathy) and their children Danika and Mikhail, and his daughter Diana (Stuart) and their children, Martin and Calli. William is also survived by his sister Sophie, Pearl (John) and brother Harry (Theresa). He was predeceased by his parents, Annie and John Gerylo, brothers, Walter, Roman, and Fred and sister, Mary. At Dad's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in William's memory. Our husband, Dad and Gigi was a quiet presence amongst us and we hope he will continue to smile down upon us. Rest in Peace. You were always there when we needed you, No task too great or small, With a loving heart and willing hand For us you did them all.
