Born: Jul 26, 1924
Date of Passing: Feb 16, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD EARL FARDOE It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father Clifford on February 16, 2007. Dad was born July 26, 1924 in Rosser, Manitoba, the son of Alice and Edwin Fardoe. He is predeceased by his sisters, Muriel, Edna, Margarette and Jeanette and brothers, Edwin and Archie. Dad leaves to mourn his passing sons, Jim (Audrey) and Jerry (Sharon) Fardoe; daughter Lorraine (Dennis) Kopychanski; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (Ray) Cook; brothers, Roy, Ronnie and Bobby (Robert). Dad lived in Rosser, Manitoba, on a dairy farm called Prairie Rose Dairies. He loved the country life and always wanted to be a dairy farmer. In 1943 he met his wife Pearl at Paterson's barn. In 1948 they married and resided all their lives in Brooklands, raising three children. Dad started work at Standard Dairies, remaining there until 1953 when he went to work for the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission. He worked there for many years becoming foreman, retiring in 1982. He loved the outdoors, working in the garden or in the garage fixing his car or building something or working on the house. He loved to talk to the neighbours and was always leaning over the fence or standing in the back lane. He loved to go to Little Mountain Park. To him that was his country life away from the city. He would take us there as kids, teaching us all about the wildlife and picking saskatoons. If there was ever a couple that could dance, it was Day and Mom. Whenever there was a do to go to they were always on the dance floor and were always complimented. Dad was a wonderful, loving, caring man who will be missed dearly by relatives and friends. A very special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 1st floor of Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home for looking after Dad and being around him in his room in his last few minutes, so he didn't leave this world alone, but with loving caring staff. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, February 21, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (Aubrey Street entrance) at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
