JEANNE STRAGIER (nee DESROSIERS) Peacefully, with her loving family at her side, Jeanne passed away on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Taché Nursing Centre at the age of 92 years. Jeanne is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Jeannette Bouchard, Louise (René) Grenier, Pat (Rick) Petryk; her nine grandchildren, Bob (Cathy), Ron (Margaret), Mike (Léanne), Brian (Kristen), Michelle (Rod), Luc (Nicole), Donnie (Stacey), Chris (Sharalyn) and Kevin (Adrienne); nine great-grandchildren Reiley, Mélanie, Natalie, Samantha, Alex, Sonia, Danielle, Monique and Ashley, her sister Lucille (Georges) Toupin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Gabriel in April of 2006, her four brothers, her four sisters as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. Jeanne was born on January 30, 1915 in St. Boniface. Mom was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother - always sharing everything she had. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, canning and lived life to the fullest. The biggest joy of her life was her grandchildren. Her legacy will live on. She persisted that her children receive a French education at Précieux-Sang. Mom and Dad resided at Place DesMeurons for many years and meeting numerous friends in the garden they cherished so much. The family would like to thank the staff on 3ABC at Taché Centre for their special care and kindness. A special thank you to Father Isa e Blanchette, OMI (a close friend of the family for many years) for his comforting words and prayers during her last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Taché Centre, 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2B3. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Précieux-Sang Roman Catholic Church, 200 Kenny Street with Father Isa e Blanchette, OMI officiating.
