Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE EVA KUMPAS (nee YUZYK) February 13, 1910 February 16, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Eva Kumpas, of Langley, BC, at the age of 97. Anne is survived by her daughter Marion (Michael) Dudar of Edmonton; grandchildren, Cathy (Paul) Matheson of Edmonton and Gregory Michael (Sharon) Dudar of Nigeria; granddaughter Ilona (Allen) Wooley of Surrey; great-grandchildren, Jackie, Jered, Nathan and Meagan, and nephews, Terry (Julie) Lewycky and Dennis Lewycky of Winnipeg. Anne was predeceased by her father Dmytro Yuzyk; mother Eva Markewich; daughter Helen Horvath (Surrey, BC); brother William Bill' Usick (Regina); brother John Yuzyk (Winnipeg); sister Mary Lewycky (Shoal Lake, MB) and husbands, Tony Woychuk and Peter Kumpas. Born in Rhein, SK to immigrant parents Anne taught herself how to read and write. She worked on the farm, in an ammunition factory, as a seamstress and cook, and was a wife and mother. She was a volunteer craft instructor at the Museum of Man and Nature in Winnipeg and in March 2005 received a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Langley for her contribution in teaching crafts to the community. Anne was a life member of the Women's Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #141 in Winnipeg. Anne has lived in Kamsack, Los Angeles, Winnipeg, Kenora and Toronto, and has been a resident of Langley since 1989. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, firm resolve and kind generosity. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home (20786 Fraser Hwy.) in Langley. Vichnaya Pamyat
