Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN KUHL (JANZEN) Peacefully with family at her side, Helen passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg on Sunday, February 18, 2007. Helen was born on November 30, 1923 in Quebec City, PQ, soon after her family had emigrated from Russia. Her family settled in Manitoba. Helen married David J. Kuhl on October 18, 1948. They resided in the Charleswood area of Winnipeg and then in Meadows, Manitoba. She moved to the Westwood area of Winnipeg in 1974 and then to her present home at Bethel Place in May 1998. Helen worked for Zeller's and We Care until she finally retired in 1997. She was predeceased by her husband David and siblings, Mary, Frank, Annie, Jake, John and Henry. She will be missed by her son Jack and companion Ramona Crowther in Winnipeg; three grandchildren, David and spouse Treena and great-grandson Connor in Thompson, MB, Christopher and companion Catharina DeBeer in MacKenzie, BC and Jodie and great-grandson William in The Pas, MB; sister Aggie Koop; brother Ed (Margaret) Janzen; Erna (Art) Falk; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the paramedics and staff at St. Boniface Hospital in Emergency and on wards 5E and 5B who gave Mom such excellent care. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, 465 Stafford Street, with viewing prior to the service. Interment at Schoenfelder Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pigeon Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
