MARION EDITH HATHERLY Peacefully, Marion Hatherly of Winnipeg died at the age of 89 years on Monday, February 19, 2007 at her home at Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts. Marion was predeceased by her father Wilfred, mother Edith, brothers Jack and Ken and sisters Amy and Isabel. She is lovingly remembered by her nephews Jim (Dianne), Dave (Joanne) and Michael (Suzanne), great nieces Sarah, Naomi, Rebekah, great nephews Jason, Mark and Spencer. Born January 16, 1918, Marion lived her whole life in St. James. She was employed at Eaton's and later at the Winnipeg Tribune. For many years she enjoyed keeping bowling score for a league for handicapped persons. Marion was a kind and thoughtful woman, generous of spirit, with an easy laugh and loyal friends. There was nothing pretentious about her. She enjoyed her family, discussions of the events of the day and a simple life. She will be greatly missed. A service to honour Marion will be held at Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts, 2300 Ness Avenue, on Saturday, February 24 at 1:30 pm. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 2146 Main Street 339-5555
