DONALD PETER SHEWCHUK It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle and great- uncle Donald Peter Shewchuk at his home in Arborg, MB, on February 15, 2007. Donald was born on March 9, 1952 in Fisher Branch, Manitoba and is survived by his sisters, Gloria (Dennis) Melnyk, Valerie; brother David, nieces Darolyne (Ian), Denise (Duncan), Belinda, nephew Danny Melnyk (Wendy), great-niece and nephew Shaylyne and Gareth. Donald was predeceased by his father Steven on June 18, 1965 and his mother Dorothy on October 15, 2000 and stepfather Paul on December 17, 1997. Donald was employed at Revenue Canada in Winnipeg for many years. He spent the weekends in Arborg tending his garden in the summer and enjoyed the company of family and friends. He was a kind and generous person and will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
